Toshiba’s Tecra range offers "great usability and build quality", making it ideal for corporate use, according to one reviewer.
Making his comments on Pocket-lint.co.uk, Stephen Patrick states that the laptop’s 14.1 inch screen and "great" keyboard are good features for a business computer, while its lightness (2.6 kg) means it is perfect for slipping into a laptop bag when on the move.
The commentator also praises the device’s "vivid" colours and "crisp" images, noting that the 1440 x 900-pixel resolution means there is plenty of space for multiple windows to be opened.
However, he adds that the machine is "bulky" in comparison to other, slimmer models on the market, although this does make it robust.
Mr Patrick also notes that the Tecra does not include features such as a Blu-ray drive or integrated webcam, suggesting that people who want to use it for video conferencing may find the latter disappointing.
Toshiba recently launched its own rival to Apple’s iPhone – the TG01.
Featuring a Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, the smartphone was unveiled at a special event earlier this week.
