Toshiba Qosmio ‘good for gaming’

Toshiba’s Qosmio X300 is good for playing the latest games on, according to one technology news website.

PC World reports the device also has reasonably powerful speakers and a good screen.

The website’s final word on the laptop is that it is fast, not overly expensive to other gaming notebooks.

Meanwhile, reviewer Elias Plastiras notes the 17-inch screen is glossy and possesses good contrast and brightness which does not suffer from reflections.

"The Qosmio X300 uses the most advanced gaming card currently available for a notebook: NVIDIA’s GeForce 9800 GTX. It will let you play most recent games smoothly at the notebook’s native resolution," the review adds.

According to the website, to get comparable gaming performance consumers would have to pay twice as much.

It was reported by Cnet that Toshiba’s L355D-S7825 is a low price laptop with an attractive display and comfortable keyboard.

However, the site notes the 17.1-inch laptop suffers from a brief battery life.
