Toshiba has launched four new laptops which are aimed at gaining the "popularity they so desperately claim", according to one expert.
Writing for Shiny Shiny, Lucy Hedges states that the devices include the Portege R600, which it comes with a 12.1-inch screen, 160GB hard drive and an Intel Core Duo processor.
Also on offer it’s the Tecra R10 which is the fastest of the new devices, she states.
"It’s aimed at the business user and is apparently ‘the most secure Toshiba laptop ever’," Ms Hedges says.
Also on offer from the firm are the Portege M750 and A600, the former offers a 200GB hard drive, while the latter should suit those with a desire to be environmentally-friendly, she adds.
Those looking to buy a new laptop might be interested to know that Cnet has praised the Samsung Q310 and R510 for offering solid performance at a relatively low price.
According to the website, the 16-inch display on the R610 is "ideal" for watching HD video content.
