Electronics manufacturer Panasonic has announced that it has added a touchscreen option to one of its Toughbooklaptops.
The company has upgraded its Toughbook 52 series of portable computers to include display controls that can be access through a stylus, while the screen also features anti-glare and anti-reflective materials.
In addition, it features improved security features, expanded memory and longer battery life.
Kyp Walls, director of product management at Panasonic, said the new model "is designed to meet the growing need for touchscreen laptops".
He added: "The new device offers the ideal mix of exceptionally low failure rates, long battery life, connectivity, portability, functionality and affordability."
Panasonic recently launched its new ZS-Series range of digital cameras.
The range includes the Lumix DMC-ZS3 and the DMC-ZS1, which both feature 12x optical zoom and a 25-millimetre ultra-wide-angle lens.
In addition, the ZS3 is the first digital camera that can record high-definition video in the AVCHD Lite format.
