Packard Bell is set to join the ranks of computer manufactures offering netbooks, it has been revealed.
The company will launch its attempt, dubbed the Dot, in November and has similar specifications to other such devices.
As well as an Intel Atom processor, a 160GB screen and an 8.9-inch screen the computer will also have built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
Emmanuel Fromony, Packard Bell’s sales and marketing vice-president, said: "We told our designers and engineers to rethink the netbook; to look at it through the eyes of a family, not a company."
The computer will also feature a 5-in-1 card reader as well as three USB ports.
Meanwhile, those looking for a full-sized laptop might want to look at the new range of MacBooks.
According to the Washington Post, the devices feature a wide range of "luxury options", including a sleek resigned case and a multitouch trackpad which is used to control the computers.
