MSI announces details on new laptop

IT products manufacturer MSI has announced details on its forthcoming Wind Notebook.

Expected to be released in June, the new system will be available with either an 8.9 or ten-inch screen and weigh around a kilogram.

Designed for both personal and professional use, the system will also be compatible with Windows XP and Linux, while it will feature Bluetooth technology and a 1.3 megapixel webcam.

The computer also has a 2.5 inch 80GB hard drive, a resolution of 1024 x 600 and the same keyboard design of the company’s larger notebooks.

According to MSI, the "light and graceful" laptop "will provide the simple operating conditions for everyone’s everyday use".

Details on the Wind have been released after the company launched a new range of portable computers with bright coloured casings.

The 12.1 inch PR210 Ya Edition laptops have been designed to stand out from rival systems and are available in blue, pink and green.
