The Averatec Voya 6494 laptop offers a smart card and SIM card slots and is "relatively trim" compared to other 15-inch laptops, it has been reported.
It "bears a slight resemblance to Honda’s original Element" due to its rubber bumpers and it also comes in a magnesium alloy case that "feels rock solid", according to the Mercury News.
The Voya 6494’s configuration delivers "ample performance" to users and it is also lighter than other similar laptops.
Users can also expect an anti-shock mounted hard drive as well as an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 250GB HDD, WiFi, X3100 graphics set, a dual-layer DVD writer, a four-in-one multicard reader and Windows Vista, according to engadget.com.
Since the series of Voya laptops, which also includes the 14.1-inch 4473 model, has a starting price of $1,299 (£663), they may be appropriate for people looking to for a cheaper option.
