Details of Fujitsu’s new Lifebook U2010 have been released.
According to Vietemese forum Tinhe te, the 680 gram unit, which has a 5.6-inch swivel screen with 1024 x 768 resolution, comes with HSDPA, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and fingerprint scanner.
Offering either a 1.6 or 1.8hz Atom processor, the device also has 1GB of RAM and an 80GB hard drive.
Pictures of the U2010 reveal a relatively large keyboard as well as a touch screen and stylus controls.
Although no release date has been specified for the device, it will be priced at $1,300 (£665).
Meanwhile, Apple is rumoured to be releasing its first tablet device by October.
According to a post on MacDailyNews, the new MacBook Touch, as the device will be known, will include a slot-loading SuperDrive, accelerometer, GPS and possibly haptic technology from Immersion.
"Think MacBook screen, possibly a bit smaller, in glass with iPhone-like, but fuller-featured Multi-Touch," the source said.
