The HP Pavilion dv2700t looks like it costs a lot more than it does, according to one reviewer.
Writing for Cnet, Dan Ackerman explains that the bronze theme featured on this special edition device makes it look "attractive".
The fact that it features a Lightscribe optical drive, 64-bit Windows Vista and 4GB of RAM are also good points, he states.
However, the laptop might not be the best value for money product on the market, Mr Ackerman points out.
"The 14-inch HP Pavilion dv2700t Special Edition looks like a much more expensive laptop, but you can also find a more powerful 14-inch laptop with better battery life for less money," he says.
Meanwhile, Absolute Gadget has praised the Advent 5301 for its likeable range of features and even lower price.
According to the website, the dual core-powered laptop can be purchased new for as little as £349 and refurbished versions can be found for £249.
