The Hewlett Packard TouchSmart IQ500 monitor has been recommended by a leading computing magazine.
Mike Jennings from PC Pro has awarded the accolade to the device for being an "attractive and versatile" monitor.
The IQ500 was commended by the reviewer for its use of "super-sized icons" to enable the touch screen technology to be "finger-friendly".
"By swiping our fingers left and right across the screen we were able to scroll through a horizontal menu with links to games, movies, our music collection, websites and RSS feeds," said Mr Jennings.
It was however noted that using certain Windows applications the touch screen is not as accurate and the reviewer had to revert back to using the mouse.
The 22-inch monitor was also praised for its "superb" display and "decent selection" of USB ports and other sockets.
PC Advisor recently reported that computer manufacturer AG Neovo had launched a range of touchscreen PC monitors in the UK.
