Dell might not make the most exciting laptops around, but the Studio 17 is another solid effort, according to one reviewer.
Writing for PC Magazine, Cisco Cheng explains that the device seems to be courting a more "mainstream" audience.
He states the laptop is a cross between the Inspiron 1720 and the "more consumer-friendly" XPS M1530.
"The system is tapered, so it’s thicker in the back than the front; the hinges, which connect the screen to the base, are pronounced and look fashionable," he says.
Adding that the Dell 17 is "chock-full of goodies".
The result is a reasonably priced laptop that offers consumers an excellent high-definition experience, he concludes.
Earlier this week, Engadget.com reported Dell is set to launch two new laptops, the Latitude E4300 and E4200.
According to the website, the systems will feature a new instant-on option, allowing people to quickly access the internet without having to fully boot up their computer.
