Asus could be set to claim Alienware’s crown as top of the gaming laptop manufacturer, according to one expert.
Writing for Cnet, Michelle Thatcher explains that although the Asus G50V is not quite as powerful as the Area-51 m15x, the former still offers excellent gaming performance and at a much lower price.
She says: "For gamers who want a laptop that’s a bit more portable than the typical gaming system, the Asus G50V delivers competitive performance at an affordable price."
The fact the device has a 15.4-inch widescreen display means it will take up less space than some other games machines, she adds.
It also allows people to watch movies at a high quality resolution, Miss Thatcher states.
Meanwhile, the American Chronicle has dubbed the Alienware device as top of the gaming laptops.
However, the news provider does note some might find the price of the computer prohibitive and suggests the Gateway P-7811FX as an alternative.
