Asus has launched a new laptop that seems to be "a high-powered, low-priced" gaming device, according to one expert.
Writing for Cnet.com, Matthew Elliott explains that the G50V manages to pack many features of a large laptop into a 15-inch model.
The machine features a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor, 4GB of Ram and two hard drives offering 500GB of storage in total, he states.
Users can sacrifice some hard drive space if they would rather opt for a Blu-ray player, Mr Elliott points out.
He says: "In all, both G50V models appear to be great values. A similarly configured Dell XPS 1530 with weaker graphics costs more."
Meanwhile, those looking for a laptop that can operate for a long period of time without being connected to the mains might want to investigate the HP EliteBook 6930p.
PC World reports that with a few upgrades, the device offers 24 hours of battery life.
