Iiyama’s ProLite E2607WS monitor has been given the "recommended" award by PC Pro magazine.
The 26-inch TFT monitor has been described by David Byron in a review as "rather stylish" with a "stunning price" of £240.
With a 4,000:1 dynamic contrast, movies will "look good" according to the writer, with the monitor successfully handling fast motion during tests and colour gradients remaining smooth throughout.
Another aspect praised was the ProLite’s inbuilt speakers, which were referred to as "ear-splittingly loud for monitor speakers".
"They lack bass, which is understandable as there’s no subwoofer, but they’re more than powerful enough to fill a living room or study with the atmosphere of a good action film," added Mr Byron.
Andy Wandervell from Trustedreviews.com recently said that the Samsung SyncMaster T240HD 24-inch DTV is a "pretty decent combination" of a TV and monitor.
