The Epson StylusSX200 multifunction printer has been described as a "great option" in a new review.
Robin Morris from PC Advisor has said that the device is fully capable of "good results" without the need for high running costs.
The £80 price tag for the Stylus SX200 is described by the writer as "sweet" and the storage of the four different colours in individual cartridges means that users can carry on printing if they are missing one shade.
In speed tests the device was found to produce an "average" 13.3 pages per minute (ppm) in black and white in draft mode, with a "decent quality" print-out taking 4.1 ppm, which the reviewer said was "sluggish".
"For the price, however, the Epson Stylus SX200 is quite good at colour, delivering very decent quality images at a solid rate of 3.1ppm," he added.
"The results with photo paper are good."
Dave Mitchell from PC Pro recently praised Canon’s i-Sensys LBP5100 colour laser printer for the "good output quality" it produces.
