Scottish singing star Paolo Nutini has turned his hand to designing trainers, it has been revealed.
The singer, who has enjoyed chart success with singles such as Last Request, Jenny Don’t Be Hasty and New Shoes, has created the fur-lined footwear for leading sportswear brand Puma.
According to the Daily Record, the star’s decision to design the trainers for the company came from his love for the brand.
Talking to the newspaper, an unnamed source said: "Puma are Paolo’s favourite shoes, so he was delighted to be asked to put his own mark on their shoes.
"They have a retro feel thanks to the fur trim and gold tongue."
News of the singer’s involvement with Puma has come after a host of stars from both side of the Atlantic starred in new commercial for Adidas.
David Beckham, Estelle and the Ting Tings are featured in the advert for the company’s Original range, alongside Missy Elliott and Katy Perry.
