Oscar-winning British actress Helen Mirren could be set to enter the fashion world, according to reports.
It has been claimed that in recent interview the former Prime Suspect and The Queen star revealed she would love the opportunity to design a collection of dresses with sleeves for Marks & Spencer if given the chance.
Talking to the Daily Telegraph, the high street retailer’s chief executive Sir Stuart Rose admitted to be interested in the idea.
"I once sat next to her at lunch and I remember her even if she won’t remember me," he explained to the newspaper.
"Her’s is a very interesting concept and we’re always interested in new ideas so let’s see what happens."
Former Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham visited the UK to launch her own new range of dresses last week.
The 12 garments in the collection are set to retail at the London and Manchester stores of Selfridges, with prices ranging from £650 to £1,900.
