Kate Moss ‘the UK’s fashion icon’

Women try to copy the style of supermodel Kate Moss ahead of any other celebrity, a new poll has found.

Research by website theragtrader.com, which surveyed the tastes of around 3,000 women, found that the model was more popular fashion-wise than both Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole.

The former Spice Girl and Girls Aloud star completed the top three, with Sienna Miller and Kylie Minogue following closely behind.

David Beckham, Justin Timberlake and Brad Pitt were found to be the most popular male style icons.

A spokesperson for the website said Moss’s popularity was due to the way she "effortlessly puts outfits together".

"Whether skinny jeans or a vintage frock, she’s incredibly stylish," the source added.

Last year, a poll by Shudoo claimed that a number of females in the UK would like to borrow shoes from Kate Moss.

Cheryl Cole, Sarah Jessica Parker and Victoria Beckham also fared well in the survey.
