Wearing flip-flops to work can help banish the Monday morning blues, according to one fashion expert.
Writing for the Times, Sarah Vine explained that a little act of dress code rebellion such as this can make people feel better.
She said: "Wear your sparkliest Havaianas to work, sit at your desk like a good little drone and glance down, from time to time, and observe your frivolous feet, a small but pertinent reminder that life is not all work and no play."
However, people might want to keep a pair of more sensible shoes at work in case of rain, she added.
But if the weather is nice, flip-flop wearers should be able to enjoy their lunch break more than others, Ms Vine stated.
Yesterday, the Guardian predicted that floral print dresses are set to be the big fashion hit at this year’s music festivals.
The paper suggested people pair them with gladiator sandal for a killer look.
