A leading fashion expert has claimed that a little black dress (LBD) should be in every woman’s wardrobe for the winter months.
Gok Wan, who is set to visit London, Thurrock, Liverpool and Manchester as part of mobile phone provider 3’s Trim Your Waste initiative, has said the dress is key to any look over the period.
He explained that in order to prepare for lunching with friends, women should add a tailored waistcoat to the LBD, as well as knee high boots and a statement necklace.
In addition, he claimed that the item can also be used in most situations, including for Sunday lunch.
"Sundays are the new Saturdays so be prepared," he revealed.
"Team flats with over-sized everything - a long cardigan, statement bag and shades."
Earlier this year, Gok Wan designed a range of plus-size lingerie for Simply Yours.
The stylist’s 11 underwear collections are available in sizes up to 32, with cup sizes from A to G.
