LG has showcased its new ecological washing machine by having a designer "bling up" one of the devices.
The Steam Direct washing machine was displayed at the Maison et Object show in Paris looking like "a giant disco ball", reports Electricpig.co.uk.
Speaking to the news provider, Caroline Kim, vice-president for marketing for LG, said: "We don’t think that green living should mean that style and comfort are compromised."
For this reason the company is focusing on "eco-chic" in its new models, she added.
This ethos ranges from washing machines to LCD TV, according to Electric Pig.
According to the website, the LG Steam Direct washing machine is available now and should cost consumers around £599.
Recently, Physorg.com reported that Leeds University has developed a washing machine which uses just a cupful of water.
The news provider states the device will be marketed through spin-off firm Xeros and could be on sale as soon as next year.
