The Kenmore Progressive is the best upright vacuum cleaner around, according tests.
A study conducted by Consumer Reports puts the device, which features Direct Drive 35922 technology, above the Dyson DC17 Absolute Manager, reports Consumerist.com.
In tests, the Kenmore cleaner scored a rating of 74, compared to Dyson’s 64.
However, the news provider wonders if the testers have ignored the "form factor" of the Dyson, with its bagless operation and "swivel appeal".
The website does point out that "one doesn’t go to Consumer Reports looking for soul, but cost-efficiency".
Consumer Reports rated the Kenmore as excellent for cleaning pet hair, carpets and bare floors as well as its emissions.
Recently, Hoover unveiled three new vacuum cleaner ranges created by Italian designers.
The Freemotion range comprises of five models, two of which are bagless.
According to the company, the range is designed to make the task of vacuuming as effortless as possible.
