Two vacuum cleaners created by Dyson have been approved by the British Allergy Federation.
According to the ShinyShiny.tv, the company’s Baby and Ball models have been given the thumbs up from the body as the air they emit includes 150 less bacteria than a standard room’s atmosphere.
The website’s Zara Rabinowicz explained that the two devices also include an emptying system which avoids dust being blown up into a user’s face, as well as a HEPA filter and Root Cyclone technology.
She added: "No longer do household chores have to be tasks that involve spluttering, now they can now be leisurely pursuits undertaken with Mary Poppins gravitas."
Vacuum cleaners created by Dyson were recently recognised as "design icons" in an exhibition held at the famous London department store Harrods.
The Evening Standard reported that other items included in the display, which was conceived to celebrate well-designed products that have had a major influence on the world, were iPods and Etch-a-sketch.
