The Bosch Classixx 1400 Express washing machine is an indispensable bit of kit, according to one comedian.
Speaking to the Guardian, Lucy Porter explained that the addition of the item to her rented flat has made life better.
Ms Porter said: "It’s really quick, really quiet and means we’re no longer having to hand-wash our knickers in the sink."
Aside from a timer delay function, she would also like to see future washing machines feature a built-in mp3 player, stating that she’s "sure we’ll soon get the iWash".
The device is also washing the clothes of fellow performer Richard Herring as they prepare for their shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, she added.
Last week, a survey by Which? found that the washing machine is considered to be the seventh most life-changing gadget of all time.
The mobile phone topped the poll, while laptops, mp3 players, digital cameras and satnavs made up the rest of the top five.
