Bissell launches new vacuum cleaner

Appliance manufacturer Bissell has announced the launch of a new vacuum cleaner.

The company’s Healthy Home product features 1,800-watt multi-cyclonic technology, along with enhanced hair pick-up and HEPA filtration systems.

According to the manufacturer, the filter on the model prevents the spread of elements, including pollen, dust mites and mould spores.

Charles Gordon, the company’s international markets director, said the system gives retailers "something new and different to shout about".

"Our most powerful vacuum yet, it’s our best model for dirt pick-up too, while the Tools Mode Airlock stops any dust leaking," he explained.

"Following this further innovation, stand by for a surge of new Bissell cleaning appliances over the coming months."

Earlier this week, it was announced that appliance manufacturer Miele was named the Best Domestic Appliance Brand at the Which? Awards 2008.

Other winners at the event including Panasonic, which was named the Best Audio Visual Brand, and Waitrose, which won the Best High Street Retailer prize.
