The new Acer TravelMate range of laptops should offer plenty of power according to one expert.
Writing for PC Pro, Mike Jennings reveals that the devices are based on the latest Centrino 2 technology from Intel and will offer processors with speeds ranging from 2.26 to 2.8 GHz.
The five laptops will offer screen sizes from 12.1 to 17-inches, he states.
Mr Jennings says: "The rest of the specification promises more than enough performance for business users, too - there’s 2GB of RAM, the chance to include GeForce 9000M-series discrete graphics and one or two hard disk drives."
The laptops also offer the option of 3G connectivity for high-speed mobile internet access, he adds.
As well as this, the line will feature new security technology to prevent unauthorised access, Mr Jennings states.
Yesterday, Government Computer News reported that Panasonic is to add Centrino 2 technology to its CF-52 and CF-74 Toughbooks.
