Maxi dresses are set to remain a hot trend for the rest of the summer, it has been claimed.
According to the Mirror, floor-skimming dresses are "essential" for style-savvy women, with the news provider claiming they cover a "multitude of sins".
In particular, the publication states that patterned versions, such as those found in Next, H&M and Marks & Spencers are much sought after.
Regarding accessories, the fashion experts at the Mirror advise opting for a wide belt to accentuate the waist and create a streamlined look or chunky beaded necklaces to add interest to the outfit.
To cover up on chilly nights, a thin cardigan or light scarf can be added to the ensemble.
Celebrities who have been spotted out and about donning maxi dresses include Jennifer Garner and Angelina Jolie, both of whom opted for a floral number, and Catherin Zeta-Jones, who wore her dress while holidaying in St Tropez.
