Details of the upcoming Batman video game have been released at industry trade show E3.
Due for release this autumn, the title sees players take control of Dynamic Duo Batman and Robin as well as bonus hero Nightwing as they battle Gotham City’s criminals.
Having broken out of Arkham Asylum, the villains include The Joker, The Penguin, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, The Riddler and Mr Freeze.
Players can also explore their ‘evil’ side by assuming the role of the criminals through the game’s story mode.
The title also features Danny Elfman’s iconic The Batman musical score from 1989.
"There’s a lot of things Batman will do that you won’t see Christian Bale do in [The Dark Night]. We’re genuinely trying to make a Lego Batman universe," Richard Earl, the title’s producer, told Shack News.
Lego Batman: The Video Game will be available for the XBox 360, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii and Nintendo DS.
