A new title in the Harvest Moon gaming franchise has shipped, according to its publisher.
Natsume has stated that Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness has been made available for the Nintendo DS to commemorate the ten year anniversary of the series’ original launch.
The game allows players to take control of an abandoned farm and work to turn it into a fully functioning site.
Hiro Maekawa, president and chief executive officer of Natsume, said the company was "proud" to reach the tenth anniversary of Harvest Moon’s introduction.
"The Harvest Moon series has really grown over the past ten years. We are happy to provide this exciting new Harvest Moon adventure, and we think that both our loyal fans and newcomers to the series will enjoy it tremendously," he added.
2K Sports recently announced it is to publish MLB Superstars for the Nintendo Wii in the autumn.
The game features a number of mini-games designed to provide a fresh twist on baseball.
