Eating al fresco is one of the delights of summer, but people should make sure that they have the right garden furniture to suit the occasion, according to one expert.
Writing for the the Daily Telegraph, Paula Robinson explains that selecting the right table and things to go with it are vital decisions.
She says: "How you dress your table is as important as the food you serve. For brunch, you can’t go wrong if you have a white tablecloth, bright cotton or linen napkins, eye-catching china and original and unusual serving dishes."
Other choices would be having a low table, with floor cushions or something similar, as this would give a sort of picnic experience, she adds.
Candles and lanterns will give an extra touch of class to evening meals being taken outdoors, Ms Robinson states.
Those looking for garden tips could do worse than to take note of the Laurent-Perrier UK effort from this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.
It was awarded the title of Best Show Garden at the event.
