Anyone considering buying some new garden furniture might be interested in some tips which will help people take care of their purchase.
According to Faraway Furniture, outdoor items are more delicate than some might imagine and because of this, people need to think about maintenance all the time.
Naomi Aharony, spokesperson for the firm, said: "Properly maintaining wooden garden furniture can be a plus for consumers in several ways - they don’t have to worry about decay and splintering which can cause injuries [and] their garden furniture will always look great when they’re entertaining."
She advises that people cover up items in the winter, when they are not in use.
Ms Aharnoy also suggests that people treat the wood and keep it clean.
These steps can help garden furniture last for "years or even generations", she adds.
Recently, the Daily Telegraph claimed that selecting the right garden furniture is vital to successful al fresco dining.
