A "comic medieval battle" game is to be released by Sony for its Play Station 3 console, the company has revealed.
Fat Princess sees up to two teams of up to 16 players pitted against each other as one team attempts to rescue a princess from an enemy dungeon.
However, during the game their adversary stuffs the princess with food to impede her escape and much of their army is needed to carry her back across the battlefield.
Players can switch between five different characters - the fearless warrior, the steadfast archer, the mystical mage, the tireless worker and the deadly warrior - "at the drop of a hat", Sony claims.
The game also includes a single multiplayer mode while up to 32 players can "wreak havoc on the battlefield" by playing over the internet, the company adds.
Gamers after a slightly tamer princess-themed game may be interested in Princess Debut, an upcoming title from Natsume for the Nintendo DS.
Due to be on sale in the autumn, the game will see players master dance moves and encourage one of six handsome princes to become their partner for a ball.
