PlayStation 3 title LittleBigPlanet has been nominated for seven awards at the ninth Game Developers Choice Awards.

The game has been given nods in categories such as game of the year, best technology, best audio and innovation, with the winners expected to be announced at the end of March.

Panasonic TV wins award

A leading electronics manufacturer has revealed that one of its new plasma TV models has won a major award.

Panasonic’s 2009 Viera HDTV G10-series was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and was named the ‘Best of CES’ in the television category by judges from technology website CNet.

The sequel to popular gaming title Sacred has won awards at a major industry event, it has been revealed.

Ascaron Entertainment and cdv Software Entertainment have revealed that Sacred 2: Fallen Angel won two awards at the German Developer awards, as well as five nominations.
