Nike is to produce trainers from the film Back to the Future 2, it has been reported.
According to Transworldnews, the sportswear maker revealed the Nike Hyperdunk Air McFly trainers at an event headlined by Kobe Bryant, to which the basketball star arrived in a DeLorean, the car made famous by the Back to the Future series.
The news provider claims that while people have clamoured for the shoes to be produced ever since the film premiered in 1989, Nike has only made 350 pairs of the unique trainers.
Back to the Future fans are recommended by the publication to use eBay to find a pair, where they are currently priced at up to $1,000 (£506).
Nike recently unveiled a pair of running shoes that include built-in WiFi.
Designed by MSTRPLN and Ubiq, the WiFi Nike Dunks have three LED lights, which light up when the runner is in range of a signal, inserted into a flap that wraps over the trainer’s laces, Mobile Magazine reports.
